Howdy, again,

As many of you are aware, the MOA FOundation has a library of training modules that are free to use. That is, free to MOA Charter Clubs.

I have been in touch with them and they are ready to set us up with what we need.

These are MSF "approved" safety modules. However, an MSF Rider Coach is not needed to facilitate these classes. However, again, having an experienced Rider Coach would be a big asset.

The workshops run 1.5 - 2 hours long. The ideal maximum class size is 25 - 30. A video, instructor's guide, workbooks and pamphlets are provided (free).

All we have to provide is a DVD player and TV OR a PC/Laptop and projector.

I believe these modules are too long to have after a meeting. So, another day/date will need to be chosen.

Before I can order the material I will need to line up the following:
- Name of the Module
- Date of event
- Approximate number of attendees

For now, all I need from you is your input on the modules. There are at least 5 but I have chosen just 2 to choose from (that should make it easier). We can always scheudle more later in the year...

Which do YOU prefer:
- STREET SMART: a 90 minute program designed to improve riders' perceptual skills. Modern visual tech. is used to stimulate using the eye and mind for improved identification of hazards.

OR

- MSF GUIDE TO GROUP RIDING: (this might be a good one since we hope to have more group rides this year) this is a 1 hour program that provides information on proper group riding procedures and techniques. Stressed are riding formations, traffic strategies and group communication. (if you remember, Ken and Kai did this one for us about 5 years ago)

Let me know what you think and I will then work on scheduling a date.

Thanks!!
