In July of 2007 Alan Snelson, Mark Holvey and Bob Kelley rode north. They met up with a number of others Black Diamond Beemers and enjoyed a great July weekend. The photo was taken at the entrance of a World Famous facilty. This place hosted the world, twice!
Can you name it

Huh?   I'm thinking Lake Placid.  They had the Olympics there.  (I rode through Lake Placid a few years back and the site of the 90 meter ski jump was amazing! ) Bike

Rick
You are correct with the general location. Lake Placid hosted the Winter Olympics twice. Once in 1932 and more recently in 1980 (when the US Hockey Team beat the Russians) The 90 meter ski jump you mentioned is held 2 miles south of Lake Placid. This photo was taken at the entrance to another famous facility used during the Olympics. This one is sevaral miles north of Lake Placid in Wilmington NY.
(During the summer, many visiting motorcyclists use the toll road nearby to reach the summit of this mountain.)
Hope that helps
